The bowl is #4 in a series of small sculptural vessel forms, symbolizing potential, value, treasure and magic. It's ready to hold seeds, crystals, dried lavender, fresh floating blooms, incense, crystals or other treasures. The bowl form can be presented right side up to hold something or upside down to look like a stone.
I've hammered this copper bowl from flat copper sheet metal. It was slowly hammered over metal stakes using processes called sinking and raising. I paid special attention to the surface texture and the opening edge. You can see the individual hammer marks, placed in a spiraling direction around the bowl.
It measures almost 2 inches high, 2.5 inches long by 2 inches wide. and is sealed with tung oil varnish to slow down the natural aging process.
